International Recruitment Strategy

The International Recruitment Strategy is funded by the Australian Government. It provides a free recruitment service to rural and remote general practices for the complex activities required to recruit an Overseas Trained Doctor.

To help Overseas Trained Doctors start work as a GP in a rural and remote private practice, they can access the services of a Rural Workforce Agency.

These state and territory agencies can assist with medical registration, immigration, employment arrangements, educational support and family support and orientation.
