Rural GP Locum Program

What is the Rural GP Locum Program?

Rural Health Workforce, in partnership with the Rural Workforce Agencies in each State and the Northern Territory, provide rural and remote GPs the opportunity to access vocationally recognised GP locums through the Rural GP Locum Program (RGPLP). The program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and provides financial assistance to allow rural GPs to access locum coverage while taking a break from their practice.
For more information about applying for a locum or registering for the national locum pool, go to www.ruralgplocum.org.au.
