Rural Health Workforce Australia is the national peak body for advocacy and representation on Australian rural and remote health workforce issues. RHWA represents Rural Workforce Agencies in all states and the Northern Territory of Australia. Recruitment Services

Rural Health Workforce Australia manages a number of national programs designed to address the shortage in rural health professionals.

This includes the International Recruitment Strategy which provides a free recruitment service to rural and remote general practices for the complex activities required to recruit an international medical graduate.

We also manage the 5 Year Scheme and the Rural GP Temporary Placement Scheme which allow international medical graduates to work in rural and remote general practice.

These programs are delivered in each state and the Northern Territory by the Rural Workforce Agencies.
